Arjun Kapoor opens up about his fitness transformation; Says ‘not attempting to be Tiger Shroff

Arjun Kapoor recently took his fans by surprise after he shared the before-and-after photos of the fitness transformation that he has achieved in the past 15 months. The Ishaqzaade actor also revealed that his work and his audience gives him the motivation. Arjun said that he wants to earn the love and respect of his audience by him again. “For me, the audience is sacrosanct. I didn’t do it for any other reason,” said the Half Girlfriend actor in an interview with Hindustan Times.

Further, the actor said that he went back into his groove and told himself, ‘I owe it to my profession, I owe it to my makers and my audience.’ He said that he is not Tiger Shroff and he accepts that he is not attempting to be. He wants to be the best version of himself that has been loved by the audiences.

Arjun also said that before his debut in the industry he had shed some kilos. “Before I started, I lost around 50 kg. I was in my 20s then, I went from 143 kg down to 93 kg. But 10 years later, my body has changed. I have had injuries, health issues, workload, etc. But it’s not that I’m not mentally capable. It might take me longer physically to do it, which is why it has taken me 15 months to get into shape,” said the actor.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun has many interesting movies in his pipeline. Currently, he is shooting in Manali for The Lady Killer alongside Bhumi Pednekar. This marks the first collaboration between the two stars. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Shaailesh R Singh, and is directed by Ajay Bahl. Apart from this, he also has Ek Villain Returns with Disha Patani, John Abraham, and Tara Sutaria. It is scheduled to hit the cinemas on 29 July 2022. Arjun will also star next in Kuttey, which is directed by Aasmaan Bhardwaj and will also star Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, and Radhika Madan in the lead.
