Hunt for thief who stole thousands from CWA cafe

Police have released an image of a man wanted for stealing thousands of dollars from the Country Women’s Association cafe at the Royal Adelaide Show.

Police said the man demanded cash from a CWA staff just before 8pm on Tuesday, September 6.

The staff member put the money in the man’s dark blue colored backpack and he left on foot through the Showgrounds.

The CWA members were not injured and no weapons were sighted.

The suspect is described as aged in his 40s, about 165cm tall with grey/black facial hair.

He had a distinctive horizontal scar above his left eyebrow and tattoos on his left forearm. The man was wearing black jeans, a black top with Led Zeppelin on the front, and a green cap.
