A 15-year-old girl has died in a head-on crash north of Perth, while a man has lost his life in a collision with a truck near Mt Barker, in what has been a horror weekend on WA roads.
Police say the 15-year-old was a passenger in a silver Subaru Outback, driven by a 17-year-old male, which was driving west on Gingin Brook Road when it collided with a blue Holden Colorado traveling east on the same road, near Cowalla Road in Neergabby, about 85km north of Perth, at 12.40pm on Saturday.
The 17-year-old driver and the 23-year-old driver of the Holden were both taken to Royal Perth Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Tragically, the 15-year-old girl died at the scene from injuries she suffered in the crash.
It came as a 32-year-old man died after his white Toyota Hilux collided with a white Iveco International truck on Albany Highway, just north of Mt Barker, at 10.20am on Saturday.
Police say the 32-year-old was traveling north on the highway, and the truck was traveling south when the vehicles collided. He died at the scene.
The 56-year-old male truck driver and his 74-year-old male passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Major crash detectives are now investigating both crashes.
